I initially came across the Warby Parker company because I liked their simple and classic frame styles. Then they gained some points with a very good price ($95) which includes not only the frame but anti-reflective prescription lenses as well. Not bad. Their design mission straight from their website:
“Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and
a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically
crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.”
I was sold. But then I fell in love when I found out more. “Buy A Pair Give A Pair”. For every pair of Warby Parker frames you purchase, a pair is given to someone in need!
“We believe that everyone has the right to see. Unfortunately, millions of people around the world today don’t have access to proper vision care. To help address this problem, Warby Parker partners with renowned non-profits, such as RestoringVision.org, to deliver one pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair that we sell. In doing so, we enable you to share the gift of vision with someone who can’t see today and give them the opportunity to read, to work and to live a fuller life.”
How dope is that? Good style, good price and a good cause. You can even order trial frames to try them on at home before you buy. Seriously…how can you NOT cop a pair of these?
